Basketball Recap: Noah Carey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead New Creation Christian Academy over Hills Academy

After flying high against HALO two weeks ago, New Creation Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Crusaders lost 89-68 to the Hills Academy Knights on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-70 back in November.

New Creation Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Carey, who went 9-for-14 en route to 24 points and six boards. Thanks to that strong game, Carey now owns an excellent 49.1% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Caleb Estes, who posted 14 points and five assists.

New Creation Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Hills Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

New Creation Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 64-44 victory against Georgia Force Christian on the 5th. As for Hills Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Young Americans Christian at 6:30 p.m. on the 11th.
