Volleyball Recap: Grantsburg Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Grantsburg waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Shell Lake Lakers by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory on September 13th.

Grantsburg had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-18.

Ruby Rengo paced Grantsburg's offense, picking up 17 kills. Rengo got some help from Megan Harmon and her 21 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Shell Lake lost, don't look at Alexa Dahlstrom. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and two assists.

Grantsburg's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Shell Lake, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Grantsburg will head out to take on Luck at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shell Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Turtle Lake at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
