Baseball Recap: William Allen Takes a Loss

William Allen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-3 to the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles. If the Canaries were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Blue Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

William Allen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erick Lopez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

William Allen's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Nazareth Area, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, William Allen will take on Stroudsburg at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Canaries' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountaineers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Nazareth Area, they will challenge Northampton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Eagles are facing the Konkrete Kids at the right time seeing as the Konkrete Kids are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
