Soccer Game Preview: Fort Vancouver vs. Columbia

The Fort Vancouver Trappers will venture away from home to challenge the Columbia Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Columbia will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Fort Vancouver extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Trappers never let La Center get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Fort Vancouver's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Meanwhile, Columbia hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. They blew past Onalaska 10-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Columbia's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Onalaska are ranked 254th).

Fort Vancouver now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Columbia, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0-2.

Fort Vancouver came up short against Columbia in their previous meeting back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Trappers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
