Softball Recap: East Lawrence Comes Up Short

East Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 21-5 to the Good Hope Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Raiders since February 21, 2020.

East Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Good Hope, they pushed their record up to 11-5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, East Lawrence will face off against Cullman at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. East Lawrence has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Good Hope, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chelsea at 8:00 a.m. on Monday.
