It was a good run, but Mahomet-Seymour unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Limestone Rockets by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Mahomet-Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 29-4. As for Limestone, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 31-2.

Mahomet-Seymour and Limestone should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 36th) will meet Charleston (ranked 519th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Limestone will face off against Pekin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (6 vs. 262).
