Roosevelt and Archbishop Riordan (ranked second and 43rd in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile game on Saturday. The Roosevelt Mustangs put the hurt on the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders with a sharp 80-60 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Brayden Burries, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 44 points and 12 rebounds. His big performance that evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Myles Walker was another key player, putting up 15 points and three steals.

The victory was the 12th in a row for Roosevelt, bringing their record for this year to 35-2. As for Archbishop Riordan, their loss ended a 24-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 29-2.
