Basketball Recap: Watauga Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

It's playoff time, and Watauga had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Forsyth Titans on Tuesday, sneaking past 62-59. The win was familiar territory for the Pioneers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Watauga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jace Blocker led the charge by dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Blocker has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josiah Railey, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards.

Watauga pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for West Forsyth, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-4.

Looking ahead, Watauga will challenge North Mecklenburg on Friday. Watauga knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 28 games -- so hopefully North Mecklenburg likes a good challenge. West Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
