Softball Recap: Huntingdon Takes a Loss

Huntingdon has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 2.38 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Chestnut Ridge Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bearcats have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Huntingdon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Kazmarski, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Kazmarski hit this season. Alivia Edwards was another, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Huntingdon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Chestnut Ridge, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Huntingdon will host Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Dragons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Chestnut Ridge, they are taking a road trip to face off against Richland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
