Baseball Recap: Perquimans' Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Perquimans entered their tilt with Tarboro on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Vikings 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on Tuesday.

Perquimans' victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nixon Winslow, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another was Coley Drew, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Perquimans' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Tarboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
