Walhalla waltzed into their match on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Clinton Red Devils by a score of 40-33.

Walhalla's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kami Roach, who posted 11 points and five steals. Roach has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Gianna Ortiz-Viera was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.

Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mylayja Thompson, who put up six points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Symiah Floyd, who had five points.

Walhalla's record now sits at 13-3. As for Clinton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Walhalla and Clinton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. Walhalla (ranked 32nd) will meet Crescent (ranked 205th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Walhalla is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Clinton (ranked 40th) will meet Columbia (ranked 254th) at 6:15 p.m. on January 14th.
