Baseball Recap: Lake Forest Takes a Loss

If Lake Forest was riding high fresh off their 21-8 takedown of Tinley Park last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scouts fell just short of the Evanston Wildkits by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Scouts in their meetings with the Wildkits: they've now lost four in a row.

Charlie Graham made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those stolen bases marked the first that he snagged this season.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Evanston, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-3.

Coming up, Lake Forest will square off against Wauconda at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Scouts are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Evanston, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lane Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
