Basketball Recap: School of the Ozarks' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

School of the Ozarks needed a changed in momentum after dropping eight straight games and they got it from Scott Carswell. The School of the Ozarks Patriots put the hurt on Southern Missouri RUSH with a sharp 44-22 victory on Monday thanks in part to Carswell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Braden Sparks was another key player, putting up no points in addition to six assists and six steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

School of the Ozarks' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Southern Missouri RUSH, their loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-7.

School of the Ozarks and Gloria Deo Academy will face off at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Southern Missouri RUSH, they and Galena will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
