Basketball Recap: Delhi Comes Up Short

Delhi played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Orestimba Warriors and fell 78-33. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Devon Bell was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 14 points, 12 boards, and nine assists for Orestimba. Those nine assists gave Bell a new career-high. Rudy Corona was another key player, going 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points.

Delhi's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Orestimba, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delhi will face off against Le Grand at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Delhi is facing Le Grand at the right time seeing as Le Grand is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Orestimba, they will take on Los Banos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orestimba is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
