Baseball Recap: Ashbrook Comes Up Short

Ashbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the North Gaston Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 last Tuesday.

Ashbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for North Gaston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashbrook will square off against Stuart W. Cramer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Greenwave surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Gaston, they will take on Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
