East Nicolaus is a perfect 10-0 against Winters since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. East Nicolaus is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

East Nicolaus easily dispatched Winters on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Spartans fell just short of Dixon by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Spartans have suffered since March 13, 2024.

Stevie Knight put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, Makinze Massey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Natalie Avara also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Winters fell victim to East Nicolaus and their airtight pitching crew. They lost 14-0 to the Spartans.

East Nicolaus' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5. As for Winters, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

East Nicolaus took their victory against Winters when the teams last played on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
