Central Magnet are taking a road trip to square off against the Coffee County Central Red Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Central Magnet was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Shelbyville Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Central Magnet has posted against Shelbyville Central since April 10, 2015.

John Roth made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Roth was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Roth wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mitchell Coons, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
