Baseball Recap: Buena Vista Wins Going Away Against Clear Creek

Buena Vista's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Clear Creek Golddiggers. Considering the Demons have won nine games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Knox Reid was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Reed Lundy was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Buena Vista hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clear Creek struck out ten times.

Buena Vista pushed their record up to 11-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Clear Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Buena Vista will take on Centauri at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Demons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Clear Creek, they have already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Platte Canyon on the 12th.
