Basketball Recap: Wilson Magnet Comes Up Short

Wilson Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the McQuaid Jesuit Knights, falling 81-40. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

McQuaid Jesuit's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaiyden Jones led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Fox, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 20 points.

Wilson Magnet's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for McQuaid Jesuit, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Wilson Magnet will host Bishop Kearney at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for McQuaid Jesuit, they will head out to take on Aquinas Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. McQuaid Jesuit is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.
