Basketball Recap: Acadiana Comes Up Short

Acadiana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Southside Sharks 62-14. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-7.

Jayniah Gauthier was Acadiana's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Essence Green held things down on the boards with 12 rebounds.

Acadiana's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Southside, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-16.

As of now, neither Acadiana nor Southside have any future games scheduled.
