Baseball Game Preview: Cary Imps vs. Chapel Hill Tigers

The Cary Imps will challenge the Chapel Hill Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cary has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cary fell victim to Apex Friendship and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 16-0. The loss continues a trend for the Imps in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill came up short against Riverside-Durham on Saturday and fell 7-3.

Chapel Hill got a good showing from Asa Foster, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Foster gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March.

Chapel Hill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Cary, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
