Chipley finds home court redemption against Holmes County

There's no place like home for the Chipley Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 53-41 win over Holmes County on Tuesday. This was payback for Chipley, who suffered a 60-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Savannah Goodman and Emma Whitaker certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Goodman scored 17 points along with two steals, while Whitaker dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Goodman is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last six games she's played.

Chipley pushed their record up to 9-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Holmes County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chipley will take on Poplar Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Poplar Springs has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20. As for Holmes County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Marianna at 7:30 p.m.
