Soccer Recap: Coastal Academy Takes Down Mar Vista in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Coastal Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Mar Vista Mariners get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. That's two games straight that the Stingrays have won by just one goal.

The victory made it two in a row for Coastal Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Mar Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Coastal Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ramona on the 19th. Mar Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
