Basketball Recap: Opp Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Opp took on Straughn on Thursday. The Opp Bobcats were dealt a 47-19 loss at the hands of the Straughn Tigers. The Bobcats were probably out for revenge after losing 41-16 to them when the teams met back in January of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Opp still got an impressive performance from Taylor Adams, who posted six points.

Opp has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Straughn, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Opp has already played their next match, a 51-45 defeat against Geneva County on the 10th. As for Straughn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bullock County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Straughn's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so Bullock County's offense will have their work cut out for them.
