It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bartram Trail had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Sandalwood Saints 11-1. The high-scoring effort was just what Bartram Trail needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.
Ella Crouse tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Addison Maliga and Lucie McDonald did most of the damage at the plate: Maliga scored a run while going 2-for-3, while McDonald scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
