Baseball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Chester Cyclones, falling 22-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Capitals of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2018.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Chester, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7.

Looking ahead, Chester will head out to square off against Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia will be paying especially close attention to the Cyclones' match: after the Cyclones face off against the Red Raiders, they'll take on Columbia again at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
