Football Game Preview: Bonita Bearcats vs. Northview Vikings + Official Tickets

The Bonita Bearcats will face off against the Northview Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bonita's defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so Northview's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Bonita is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Charter Oak just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 23-6 bruising from the Chargers.

Meanwhile, Northview never let their opponents score on Thursday. They really took it to West Covina for the full four quarters, racking up a 35-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won five matchups by more than 24 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Northview's win came from a few key players Bonita will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aaron Guillen, who rushed for 136 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaishon Bledsoe, who gained 129 total yards and two touchdowns.

Northview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 267 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Northview pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.8 points on average over those games. As for Bonita, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.

Bonita barely slipped by Northview when the teams last played back in November of 2023, winning 21-20. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Vikings' Keanu Tauvao, who rushed for 167 yards and one score, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Bearcats to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
