Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Sebastian River

Sebastian River won the last time they faced Treasure Coast and things went their way on Friday too. The Sebastian River Sharks came out on top against the Treasure Coast Titans by a score of 44-34. Given the Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Titans are ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sebastian River got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was E'Mani Pryor out in front who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Bowen, who posted six points.

Sebastian River's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.6 points. As for Treasure Coast, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sebastian River will venture away from home to square off against Jensen Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jensen Beach will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Sebastian River surely won't give up without a fight. As for Treasure Coast, they will head out on the road to face off against South Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Treasure Coast is facing South Fork at the right time seeing as South Fork is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
