Football Recap: McGregor Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McGregor can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 66-22 loss at the hands of Yoakum. While losing is never fun, McGregor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 884th, while Yoakum is ranked 126th).

Defeat or not, McGregor got some senior leadership from Bubba Zacharias and Dominic Madron. Zacharias threw for 245 yards and three TDs, while Madron picked up 97 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Madron is also on a roll when it comes to receiving touchdowns, as he's now hauled in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

McGregor's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Yoakum, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

McGregor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yoakum, they will face off against Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
