Softball Recap: West Blocton Comes Up Short

West Blocton lost against Northside back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Blocton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Koli Hobson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

West Blocton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Northside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11-1 record this season.

West Blocton will head out to challenge Homewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Northside, they will be taking part in a tournament against Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
