Soccer Game Preview: Golden vs. Columbine

The Golden Demons will head out to take on the Columbine Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Friday, Golden didn't have quite enough to beat Dakota Ridge and fell 2-1. The loss put an end to Golden's undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, Columbine hasn't lost a match since March 3rd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They and ThunderRidge finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Columbine's draw gives them a new season record of 3-1-2. As for Golden, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Golden skirted past Columbine 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Golden since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
