Softball Recap: National Trail Blazers vs. Carroll Patriots

National Trail won the last time they faced Carroll and things went their way on Saturday too. The Blazers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots, sneaking past 9-8. That's two games straight that the Blazers have won by just one run.

Summer Martin and Morgan House made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Martin tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, House struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Martin has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Martin went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI, while House scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
