Volleyball Recap: Salisbury Elk Lick Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Salisbury Elk Lick came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Windber Ramblers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ramblers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-20.

Salisbury Elk Lick's offense was headlined by Ava Hummel and Taylor Short, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Alivia Hummel and her 12 assists. Finally, Ava was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Leading Windber to victory were Kyra Tomak and Amber Dunmyer. Tomak had eight digs and two aces, while Dunmyer had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Tomak has posted since back in September.

Salisbury Elk Lick's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-11-2. As for Windber, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5-2.

Salisbury Elk Lick has already played their next matchup (against Turkeyfoot Valley Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Windber, they will head out on the road to take on Greater Johnstown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
