Basketball Recap: Warren's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Warren had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 72-52 margin over the Firebaugh Falcons. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Warren to victory were Jorge Mota and King Johnson. Mota posted 12 points and seven boards, while Johnson went 5 of 12 en route to 16 points and three steals. That's the most steals Johnson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Osuna, who earned nine points.

Warren is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Firebaugh, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Warren does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Firebaugh, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lynwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Firebaugh is facing Lynwood at the right time seeing as Lynwood is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
