Volleyball Game Preview: Austin Packers vs. Winona Winhawks

Austin hasn't had much luck against Winona recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Packers will challenge the Winhawks at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Austin came up short against Century and fell 3-1.

Austin was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Century work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20.

Austin's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addison Walsh, who had 33 digs and one block, and Reagan Harty, who had 20 digs. Walsh has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played. Lexi Brede was another key player, getting 15 digs.

Meanwhile, Winona also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Marshfield by a score of 2-0.

Austin's record now sits at 8-10. As for Winona, their record is now 6-10.

Austin beat Winona 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Packers repeat their success, or do the Winhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
