Football Recap: Timnath Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Timnath took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 24-17 win over the Poudre Impalas. The Cubs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Impalas, too.

Mitchell Deangelis was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 119 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 119 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Poudre's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mason Carter, who rushed for 87 yards, and Praise Oluniyi, who rushed for 73 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Poudre's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Timnath is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Severance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Poudre, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Riverdale Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
