Basketball Recap: Natalia Dejesus Bruno's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Odyssey Charter School over Melbourne Central Catholic

Odyssey Charter School came up into this matchup off a tough 45-point loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers by a score of 32-29 on Monday. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hustlers earlier this season, when they won 39-32.

Odyssey Charter School lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Natalia Dejesus Bruno, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thalisha Dhaiti, who put up seven points.

Odyssey Charter School is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season.

Odyssey Charter School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 30-29 defeat against Lake Worth on the 16th. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-20 loss against West Melbourne Christian Academy on the 14th.
