Softball Recap: Lone Peak Comes Up Short

Lone Peak lost against Cedar Valley back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lone Peak lost 12-2 to Cedar Valley. The Knights' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Maggie Nelson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Lone Peak's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Cedar Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Lone Peak will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Cyprus at 3:30 p.m. Lone Peak's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cyprus has averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Cedar Valley, they will square off against Wasatch at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
