Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Cedars vs. Solanco Golden Mules

The Lebanon Cedars will square off against the Solanco Golden Mules at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Lebanon nor Lampeter-Strasburg made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Cedars came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cedars.

David Furjanic made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Lebanon is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 2-10 otherwise. Furjanic was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kevin Munoz was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Diego Serrano was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Solanco came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let Octorara Area get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Ayden Herr, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Solanco's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Lebanon, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
