Basketball Recap: Palmetto Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Palmetto Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 66-44 to the Northwood Academy Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Palmetto Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-62 back in December of 2024.

Northwood Academy found their leader in sophomore Eli Cosman, who went 9 of 11 to rack up 23 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Cosman a new career-high in boards. Christian Mcgill was another key player, going 6 for 13 en route to 15 points.

Palmetto Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Northwood Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-19.

Palmetto Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-35 defeat against Charleston Collegiate on the 4th. As for Northwood Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 69-31 loss against Porter-Gaud on the 4th.
