Meanwhile, McNairy Central didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Chester County on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 44-40 win. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Eagles are ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jackson North Side's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for McNairy Central, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

Jackson North Side was taken down by McNairy Central 65-11 when the teams last played back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Jackson North Side was down 29-8.
