Joliet West had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Joliet Central Steelmen by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on 17 straight.

Their offense was headlined by Penny Wagner and Lexie Grevengoed, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Julia Adams and her 21 assists. Grevengoed was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Joliet West's win bumped their record up to 33-3. As for Joliet Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-24 record this season.

Joliet West will face off against Yorkville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Joliet Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
