Volleyball Recap: Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars vs. Wilder Wildcats

Gem State Adventist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Wilder Wildcats. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-18, 25-15.

Wilder had a senior duo take command as Nancy Ramirez had nine digs, seven aces, and six kills and Natalie Escutia had 12 digs, eight kills, and four aces. Escutia has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 19 times she's played. Jaelynn Perales was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Gem State Adventist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Wilder, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Gem State Adventist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against San Gabriel Academy on the 9th. Wilder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
