Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Wrangell's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Wrangell won against Klawock on Saturday with 76 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Wrangell Wolves took down the Craig Panthers 76-59. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Panthers last Friday, they had to take a 67-52 loss.

Wrangell is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Craig, they moved to 10-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wrangell will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ketchikan at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Craig will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Metlakatla at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
