Lakeview hadn't done well against Jonesboro-Hodge recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Gators put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-5 win. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Lakeview and bumps their season record up to 8-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Lakeview will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Castor at 5:00 p.m. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, they will head out to challenge Ringgold at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
