Softball Recap: Los Gatos Beats Branham for Their Second Straight Victory

Los Gatos and Branham pushed the score to 14-6 the last time they played Branham, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Wildcats never let the Bruins get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Danica DeSantis looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lily Young, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Los Gatos and bumps their season record up to 9-5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Branham, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Gatos will venture away from home to square off against Mountain View at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Branham, they will challenge Willow Glen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
