Basketball Recap: Lewis Angapak Comes Up Short

Lewis Angapak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 68-57 to the Kwigillingok Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-55 last Friday.

Despite the loss, Lewis Angapak still got an impressive performance from Demetrius Lewis, who posted 22 points. That was a full 38.6% of Lewis Angapak's points, marking the fourth time in a row Lewis has put up more than a third of the team's points. Shane White was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Kwigillingok was led to victory by Caiden Nichols and Christopher Lewis. Nichols had 29 points, while Lewis earned 21 points. That's the most points Lewis has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Corey Daniel, who scored ten points.

Lewis Angapak's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Kwigillingok, their record is now 3-9.

Lewis Angapak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kwigillingok, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-59 loss against Kongiganak on the 22nd.
