Basketball Game Preview: Samson Tigers vs. Geneva Panthers + How To Watch

Samson hasn't had much luck against Geneva recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Samson duked it out with Paxton on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 51-38 to the Bobcats. The loss put an end to the Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

Despite their defeat, Samson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kelin Hornsby, who almost dropped a triple-double with ten points, nine rebounds, and nine steals, was perhaps the best of all. Hornsby is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least five every time he's taken the court this season. Brodi Mock was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Geneva ended up a good deal behind New Brockton on Tuesday and lost 71-56.

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Samson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Samson came up short against Geneva in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 51-40. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
