Basketball Recap: Roger Bacon Comes Up Short

Roger Bacon played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Elder Panthers and fell 65-36. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Roger Bacon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Michael Noszka Jr. went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points.

Roger Bacon's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Elder, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Roger Bacon will head out on the road to square off against Purcell Marian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Roger Bacon is facing Purcell Marian at the right time seeing as Purcell Marian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Elder, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mason at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Elder's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
