Baseball Game Preview: Ogden International vs. Taft Eagles

Ogden International will venture away from home to face off against the Taft Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Ogden International is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Ogden International's last matchup with Whitney Young could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Wednesday. Ogden International came up short against Whitney Young, falling 18-6.

Ogden International saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Salinas, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Salinas' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Taft fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lane Tech on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to the Champions.

Ogden International's record now sits at 8-8. As for Taft, their record is now 11-11.

Ogden International took their victory against Taft in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-3 score. Does Ogden International have another victory up their sleeve, or will Taft turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
